Vindon provides cryogenic storage in their HTA licensed Cryobank using DryStore freezers at temperatures down to minus 190ºC. Specifically designed as vapour phase storage systems to ensure against sample contamination, this state of the art biorepository provides secure storage for stem cells, cord stem cells, biological samples, DNA and Bone Marrow.

Vindon’s Ultra-Low temperature facility offers secure storage for samples, sera and vaccines. From a single box of samples to a full cell bank, Vindon can provide a secure, offsite solution.

In addition Vindon supply blood storage, tissue storage and blood transportation equipment to the NHS and the private sector. Our validation department can help maintain your equipment and ensure that it conforms to regulations set by the UK Blood Transfusion Service.

Cryogenic Storage - HTA Licenced

Our Cryobank service provides secure storage for short, medium and long-term controlled primary or secondary site storage for the preservation of biological samples and stem cells at temperatures down to -196ºC.

Our vapour phase liquid nitrogen DryStore freezers facility incorporates 24 hour security and is protected from power failure by a backup generator and gravity fed liquid nitrogen tank. Each DryStore has a wired and wireless backup alarm warning system. We also maintain an emergency backup freezer on site.

Ultra-Low Temperature Storage

Vindon’s Ultra-Low temperature storage facility provides storage at temperatures ranging from -20ºC to -86ºC and can be tailored to the need of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare and medical companies including research and academic institutes.

Vindon can accommodate anything from a single box of samples up to virtually any volume and are capable of storing millions of samples, vials or tube racks.

Constant monitoring is performed with a paperless data logging system that is compliant with the requirements of the US Code of Federal Regulations

Blood Storage Refrigerators

Our high quality blood banks are fully compliant with BS4376: Part 1: 1991 and designed to provide stable and reliable temperature control with an even temperature distribution across the entire refrigerating chamber and provide the optimal storage conditions for the preservation of blood products.

With a wide range of capacities from 32 bags upwards, our Blood Bank Refrigerators are environmentally friendly, have independent, adjustable, micro processor based temperature control system and combine innovative design to enable ‘Pass-Through’ dimensions that are suitable for hole in the wall applications.

Transtherm^® Blood Transportation Box

A specialised, cost effective and reusable insulated blood container for the transfer of up to 4 packs of blood or plasma. Transtherm^® combines modern materials with good engineering design and has been thoroughly tested and validated to ensure it meets our stringent temperature parameters. Designed for use with up to 7 chill packs Transtherm^® is an inexpensive, reusable, light weight solution.

Blood Bank Validation

For over 10 years, our Validation Department have been qualifying equipment. Our team of experience staff can ensure your equipment meets the requirements set by the now regulations laid down by the UK Blood Transfusion Service.

Using a combination of UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) calibrated probes and state-of-the-art data acquisition systems, Vindon have a long established reputation for helping clients demonstrate compliance with regulatory authorities, saving our clients time and money and preventing the occurrence of embarrassing audit visits.
