Remploy, the UK’s largest provider of employment opportunities for disabled people, has been manufacturing high quality, high performance HEPA filters for more than 25 years, much of that time branded as Remploy Tor Filters. Operating from a purpose built 6,500 sq ft manufacturing facility in Barrow-in-Furness, the company has recently refocused itself as simply ‘Remploy Filters’, and supplies a comprehensive range of HEPA filters, soft filters, pre-filters, bag filters, pleated panel filters and media rolls to an equally diverse national and international customer base. This includes private and public sector organisations in the nuclear, military, medical and pharmaceutical, research, industrial and energy markets.
Nationally, Remploy employs directly more than 5,500 people. It operates from more than 80 factories in a variety of business streams including recycling, furniture manufacture, packaging and print, household and toiletry products, performance textiles, healthcare, automotive, outsource manufacturing and electronics. In addition, it assists over 5,500 people with a range of physical and mental disabilities to find work every year and, through its managed services division, provides flexible outsourced service solutions throughout the UK.
