Labcold is the brand name for products manufactured by Borolabs ltd of Basingstoke, the UK’s leading specialists in laboratory, medical and technical refrigeration.

Labcold also produces a range of monitoring and alarm products to keep a constant check on routine equipment operations for confirmation of sample security

Founded in 1932 Borolabs remains an independent, privately owned British company with over 35 years’ experience of the supply, manufacture and support of refrigerators, freezers, incubators, and other temperature-related products to the scientific and healthcare sectors.

Unlike other refrigeration companies Labcold is not involved in domestic, catering or food and beverage products but concentrate entirely on technical applications.

Having scientists with first hand laboratory experience in senior positions up to and including board level means that Labcold has a unique understanding of the needs of its customers, and is also better placed to respond to technical queries and new opportunities.

Labcold has developed a reputation with both large and small corporate and medical establishments for having an extensive range of products that are safe, secure and reliable through quality construction and performance with appropriate safety and monitoring facilities.

This position being confirmed by the award of various ongoing contracts by the pharmaceutical industry, private laboratory and healthcare companies, and central government in the form of The Office of Government Commerce (OGC).
