New Camspec Spectrophotometer Conforms to NHS Guidelines

Camspec Limited

The latest UV/Visible Spectrophotometer developed by Camspec conforms to the relevant NHS guidelines for such equipment, and is ideally suited for use in Pathology laboratories for the analysis of a wide range of patient specimens and samples.

Camspec is the UK's leading supplier of specialist UV/Visible Spectrophotometers, and the launch of the M550 completes its M500 product range. This now includes the M501 single beam scanning and M550 double beam UV/Visible products. The M501 is designed to offer users more features and greater performance than would normally be found in a product which costs as little as £2,700 ex VAT, whilst the European Pharmacopoeia 5.2 compliant M550 is a top of the range instrument designed for both pathology research and routine use.

Camspec Managing Director, Dr Tony Moss, is anticipating considerable demand from health services around the world, saying: "In the UK our spectrophotometers are already used in many hospitals including Barnstaple, Craigavon and Liverpool, and we have recently shipped our first M550 unit to a pathology laboratory in Sweden. Our products are Windows™ software compatible and a range of special laboratory applications have been developed by specialist software authors over the last few years, including 21CFR Part II compliant Panorama software."

The M500 series is the first new range of Camspec products to be launched since the company entered into a design, production and supply partnership with a Chinese scientific instrumentation company.
